New temperture records set in Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Over the weekend Juneau has broken two records in temperatures for the days of Saturday and Sunday.

    In an interview with Juneau Weather Service Meteorologist Pete Boyd, he said Saturday the 17th record of 60 degrees set in 1953 was broken this year with a recorded temperature of 70 degrees.

    Sunday the 18th had a record of 61 degrees set last year, which was also broken this year with a recorded 68 degrees.

    Boyd said Monday the 19th has a record of 62 degrees set in 1978, and was tied last year, and that they are forecasting another temperature tie.
